Sometimes, she thinks she sees a tree being 'drawn' out of the corner of her peripheral vision, but then when she looks it's already fully there. It gives the whole place a rather bizarre sense... A combination sketchbook and virtual landscape loading as they go. Makes her wonder what it looks likes behind them while they aren't looking. is there even anything? When she glances back, there's their tracks in the sand and the sights she saw earlier, of course.
Valerie has to pause by the doors of the temple, to run her hand along the stone and to take a deep breath. Since she awoke, she's felt a longing to go back to the Aether, sure, much like mom. But it wasn't so overly poignant - she was pretty content in the fallen realm, being able to pull magic out and do what she does, and learn. Now that she knows that her and her sister's joined soul is literally from the Aether, that she is more than human, and that there is a way for her to revisit that home one day, even for a little while...
Well, now it's stronger than ever. Was mom an angel too? Could that have been the cause of her discomfort? If so, did she split them into two sisters so that they would have one another for comfort in the fallen world?
A few answers may lie ahead, thankfully, and she presses through to behold the great beings ahead. The intimidating warrior, looking kind of ... grumpy looking? Val really struggles to think of a different term for it, and it makes it a little funny. She does reel in any snickers, though. Especially when she gets to look over to the other side...
Valerie swallows at the smile, turning red pretty quickly. Oh boy. She was the most beautiful creature I'd ever seen - even counting the angels I've met. Crowned in thorns that hold a subtle light, her touch... it was like a second Awakening for me. I thought I might die beneath her, twisting against her, as she twined about me serpentine, sensual.
What she has to say, however, is of far more importance and it distracts her from her appearance. Mostly. ...well, some. ...a little. ...jesus, she's really hot...
"H-..hello." She cuts a little unsure bow. "Uhm... I'm, I'm afraid you either have us confused with someone else, or .. more likely you're not, and, uh, our memory did not come along with our, uh..." She looks to Arielle, trying to think of the right term for this. "...transformation to humanity."
And here she's supposed to be the confident speaker, given her practice in front of a camera, and she's stammering and being long winded in her word choice. Kind of like when she first met Ethan in person, overwhelmed by the crowd. This time there's no crowd, but it feels like Lilith has the importance of one.
Val clears her throat and runs her hand through her hair as she does when nervous, though this time it's rather tinged with heat. "..we came here hoping to get some answers about us," she finally concludes.
